Key Scripture
“And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” – John 8:32 (NKJV)
Reflection
During a hindu meditation, I was asked, “Who did you see?” I felt a rush of fear and confusion. Just moments after Jesus had revealed Himself to me, I said what I thought they wanted to hear. I named Jesus, but also Buddha and their guru, because I felt pressured to perform as expected. Inside, I knew I had seen only Him, yet the words came out half-true.
The moment stayed with me. I wasn’t ready to surrender completely, but the seed was planted, a seed Jesus Himself placed there. Even though part of me wanted to dismiss what had happened, something deeper in me refused to let go. I knew this encounter was real; I just didn’t yet have the courage to speak it openly.
Later, I learned there’s no hiding from God. We can try to soften the truth or blend it with what others want to hear, but He already knows our hearts. And still, He loves us. We come to Him scarred, imperfect, and confused, yet He welcomes us as we are.
If you’re afraid to share your faith or tempted to hide part of it, remember: honesty with God and others sets you free. The struggle may remain, but Christ’s yoke is easy, His burden light, and His truth always gentle enough to heal what fear once silenced.
Today’s Steps
- Read John 8:31-36 and notice how truth and freedom are inseparable.
- Ask God to reveal any “half-truths” you may still hold onto and give you strength to speak truth in love.
- Thank Jesus for planting seeds of courage even when you’re not yet ready to act.
Prayer
“Lord Jesus, forgive me for the times I’ve softened the truth out of fear. Teach me to be honest before You and others, knowing Your truth brings freedom, not condemnation. Give me the courage to stand for You with grace. Amen.”
