Key Scripture
“Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” — John 14:27 (NKJV)
Reflection
There was a time when I didn’t even know what peace was supposed to feel like. My heart was in constant motion—always chasing, always reaching, always tired. I read books, tried philosophies, practiced methods that promised balance or inner calm. But the more I searched, the less I believed peace was possible for me.
Each new attempt ended the same way: another cycle of exhaustion and emptiness. I was digging deeper into darkness, drained and helpless. The world’s peace is like a mirage—it looks close, but every step toward it leaves you thirstier than before.
When I met Christ, I learned what peace really is. It’s not silence or escape; it’s the presence of Jesus Himself. His peace doesn’t remove the storm—it anchors your heart through it. It’s everlasting. It restores strength for each day and keeps you humble, because you remember that peace was purchased through His suffering on the cross.
If you feel restless, tired, or surrounded by dark clouds, hear this truth: Christ is the answer. Only He can forgive, heal, and free you from the enemy’s grip. The peace He gives isn’t fragile—it’s eternal.
Today’s Steps
- Read John 14:25–31 slowly and notice how Jesus speaks peace before the cross.
- When anxiety comes, breathe deeply and say, “Lord Jesus, You are my peace.”
- End your day thanking Him for one specific way He showed you calm today.
Prayer
“Lord, I searched everywhere for peace and found only noise. Thank You for giving me what the world never could—Your peace. Keep my heart humble and my eyes fixed on You. Amen.”
